Accredited Program, State-of-the-Art Facilities

Montana Tech recently constructed a state-of-the art Safety Lab which allows for an abundance of experiential learning exercises within the curriculums. Advance Your Professional Area, While Continuing to Work in the Field

The entire 学位 program is conducted online with the exception of a five-day sampling lab residency. The curricula is designed to provide graduates with the academic preparation needed to pass the certification examination administered by the Board for Global EHS Credentialing (Formally ABIH).

We have established admittance standards for the distance learning program to ensure student success. Applicants must have a bachelor’s 学位 from a regionally accredited college or university that included as a minimum 19 credits of college-level mathematics and science, (including first semester calculus and statistics), biology (including anatomy/physiology), chemistry (including organic chemistry), 和物理.

Applicants with a bachelor’s 学位 from a regionally accredited college or university may alternatively demonstrate adequate math and science preparation if they hold the Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE), or Certified 健康 Physicist (CHP) credential, or *equivalent international professional certifications, or if they have completed an advanced 学位 in a science-based discipline.

A resume containing two years of safety and health-related work experience is also a requirement for admittance to this program. Students who do not have professional work experience may wish to apply to our MS Industrial Hygiene on-campus program.

Students who are Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH) may waive OSH 421 Industrial Hygiene I. These students will be required to complete 34 credits for the Industrial Hygiene 远程学习 学位. Students licensed as Certified Safety Professionals (CSP) may waive I.H. 5606 System Safety and Process Safety Management. These students will be required to complete 34 credits for the Industrial Hygiene Online 学位. For students who are both a CIH and CSP, both OSH 421 and I.H. 5606 may be waived and these students would be required to complete 31 credits for this 学位.
